Each TRx3900F column features nine matched 3.5" drivers arranged in a tightly aligned vertical array. Stacking two columns forms an 18-driver line source that maintains coherent wavefront propagation across the system’s full 100 Hz to 18 kHz operating range. This uniform driver topology minimizes vertical dispersion, reduces distortion, and ensures smooth frequency response for listeners both near and far.
The result is sound that remains crisp, articulate, and tonally consistent—even
at long distances where conventional speakers begin to lose clarity.
Many column speakers rely on a single HF driver paired with mid-range drivers, disrupting vertical coherence and limiting long-throw performance. The TRX3900F avoids this compromise entirely by using identical drivers throughout the array, maintaining continuous coupling and maximizing efficiency.
This design provides:
Wide Coverage. Long Throw.
Each TRx3900F includes a pair of column array elements capable of delivering intelligible audio out to 400'.
Performance Highlights
The controlled vertical dispersion dramatically reduces stage wash and feedback while maintaining clarity and presence throughout the audience.
The TRx3900F Column Array Pair features a rotating base that allows the array to swivel nearly 360 degrees, giving crews precise control over horizontal aiming without repositioning the entire system. Each column section can also be rotated independently, allowing the top column to be aimed differently from the bottom to adapt to unique room layouts or asymmetrical audience areas. When both columns are aligned in the same direction, the system maintains maximum forward projection and long-throw performance. When the top column is angled away from the lower column, horizontal coverage increases to better serve wider seating areas—while reducing overall throw distance.
When ground-stacked on a TRX3118A Subwoofer, a TRX3900F Column Array pair creates an 8-foot-tall acoustic aperture, enabling projection that reaches well over 400 feet, depending on environmental conditions. The extended vertical height enhances forward gain and maintains intelligibility across large audiences without the harsh hotspots often associated with shorter near-field columns and point source speakers. Because all eighteen drivers act together as a single acoustic source, the TRC™ array distributes energy evenly from top to bottom, reducing front-row “blare” and delivering a balanced listening experience throughout the venue.
The TRx3900F is engineered for flexible installation, offering both flown and wall-mounted installation options to accommodate a wide range of venue requirements. Integrated fly points (8 M10) allow for secure overhead suspension using appropriate rated hardware, making it suitable for permanent installations and distributed system designs. The enclosure also supports wall-mount bracket attachment for fixed-position coverage in theaters, houses of worship, clubs, and event spaces. The TRx3900F provides installers with reliable rigging options while maintaining precise coverage and professional system integration.

Customer testimonials across the TRC platform, from the TRC200A through the TRC600A, in real production settings.
"We were all amazed with the tone, clarity, definition, coverage & volume produced from these compact enclosures. Everything about these cabs is stellar. The vocals & instruments are clean & detailed. Coverage & dispersion from front to back, left to right of the venue is even & clear - virtually eliminated hot spots & dead spots."

"Our 5 piece honky tonk/Western Swing band uses a single stack as mains and monitors regardless of room size and even outdoors up to thousand seats with no volume issues at all. It allows us to mix on stage and control our own finished product sounds much easier than the additional sound man. Several companies make this style of pole/sub combo system but nobody comes close to the clarity and power Carvin offers. We can't recommend it highly enough not to mention the money it saved."

"Recently, my band from Nashville TN called Monsters of Yacht® played at The Country Club of Mobile. We own our own sound and lighting equipment but due to time constraints I decided to hire a local production provider. Lee Abbett was recommended to me by another production company. When I called Lee to hire him he told me about the new Carvin gear he is using and that we would LOVE it as much as he does.. Well, he was right! As soon as we arrived, he fired it up for us and I was blown away by the sheer volume and clarity of the rig. I couldn't believe how much sound was coming from the physically "thin" column array cabinets. From an audience perspective, the arrays accomplished more than just great sound, they also blocked less view of the band than traditional speaker stacks and were tall enough to project over the heads of guests who ended up standing right in front of them. We play all over the country and get to play on almost every line of sound equipment out there. We had a great experience with Lee running the Carvins with this design that was new to us. Lee has great enthusiasm for Carvin gear and it is justified. In fact, this encounter made me regret buying the EV system I picked up last year... I am impressed with Carvin! Congrats on a great product!"

"Hello Carvin ...I just wanted to say thank you for helping me place this order and the sound system is absolutely incredible!!! I am completely blown away!!! I feel like I'm at a festival with a wall of speakers.... our property is 10 acres with about 5 Acres of sand dunes all around our Lake... it's like a big swimming Bowl and Reverb on my property is what I wanted and it's absolutely fantastic thank you so much !!!""

I'm using the Carvin Audio TRC system for DJ and sound production. What I love about this system, besides the amazing sound, is the universal features it can offer, rather than being stuck to one setting. I love the 3 sub pole mounts on the sub for pole configuration and how fast the system is put together. I keep saying this to everyone BEST SYSTEM EVER!! If you're looking for a column array system that's different, this is the system to go for, hands down!"

"This PA is amazing. The load in to Julep Point is almost a mile push, I kid you not! Thankfully having the subs on wheels allowed me to easily push them out to this beautiful location. The power consumption versus output is just crazy! I ran the left side PA and four lights on one 20 amp Circuit and the right was the same. Basically the whole show on two 20 amp circuits. Mind Blown! I can't articulate how much I love this new PA! It Rocks!"

"Have absolutely loved this system, it sounds awesome, and it is such an ease to set up. We have been 110% satisfied with the system, that’s why we are adding to the system to do outside and very large venues. We play 60 to 80 shows per year and are constantly getting asked where we got the system and I always tell them about Carvin."

"Just a follow up to say how pleased I am with the TRC600A array we installed in the Haven event venue here in Birmingham, AL. After 6 months of operation with corporate events, private events, and bands, it is just what this venue needed. Great coverage, sound, and look. The system actually improved the overall acoustical sound of the room due to the limited vertical dispersion. Huge asset! Thx again for working with me & going the extra mile. Always loved Carvin! Rock on!"

"We ran the new system last night at a large church to try things out. Everyone was thoroughly impressed. Great coverage in a room that holds roughly 700 people. We will be putting it to good use this weekend for a band job a few hours away."
