The V3M amp was a huge hit at the 2011 NAMM Show, with players raving about the amazing sound and versatility. It was awarded Best of Show. The small size and selectable power output makes the V3M ideal for dorms, apartments, as well as live performances and recording when mic'd or connected directly to the board.
The 50 watt V3M amp is the musician's dream, delivering awesome power with incredible tone including lush reverb. Nearly half the size of the V3 100w head, the V3M offers nearly the same features. Its powerful 50w output easily drives a 4 X 12 half stack while the 7 or 22 watt setting delivers sweet saturation at low levels.
The all tube channels can be engaged with your footswitch for normal shimmering highs and deep bass. Switch the channel to classic rock with the deepest metal crunch or continuous sustain. Never before has there been so much tone and power from a micro series.
Don't forget to include the optional FS44L-V3M footswitch when purchasing the V3M amp. The footswitch allows for full switching of all channels, reverb and the boost.

"Just got my V3m yesterday. Just wanted to let you know that it is the best amp I`ve ever owned. I`m sixty years old and have played virtually any amp you could name, at one time or another, and have owned many of them. But there has always been something missing. Either the overdrive was mushy, flabby or just noise.....or the clean was dull and dead. I could NEVER get the sound I wanted from the whole amp. Yet I know that most of the people building these amps, were in fact guitar players. Why they couldn`t do what you have done is beyond me. It seems so simple, but in reality, it must be very difficult, because the V3M is the first amp I have ever played that gives me every sound I could ever hope to use, without pedals, and every possible professional option that exist. (Plus some really cool lights). All for a price that doesn`t even make sense. How do you do it..........I guess I don`t care. But I am a fan. Congratulations to you and the whole team."

"This is my second guitar amp purchased from Carvin and again I'm blown away by the quality. My first was the V3 amp. Now the V3M. I love the V3 and I was a little skeptical that the V3M, could get all the same tones and saturation without having to peel the paint off the walls. Well, hearing is believing, it sounds amazing. With the amp set at 7 watts it can be pushed and still achieve the tone and saturation I want to hear without waking the dead and on 50 watts I can still wake the dead when needed! I can dial in any genre pretty easily. I couldn't be happier, the quality is second to none. Thanks Carvin!"
"I recently had the chance to try the Carvin V3M amplifier and I have to say I was blown away. This amp sounds really amazing - regardless of it's small size. Now a fixture in my studio."

"18 months ago I played through the original V3L for the first time. I was sold before I ever got it out on a gig, but as I had time to work with it in the weeks that followed, I realized it was hands down the best amp I'd ever played through!
I have several vintage amps available including a '64 Super Reverb, Plexi Marshall, and a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe. Over the years I've played Mesa Boogie, Ampeg V4 & Reverberocket, Marshall JCM800 amps that were all amazing. But the V3L tops them all!!
I play in three bands: a retrofunk review, a classic 80's-90's club band, and a national-level original alternative metal band. The great thing about my V3L is it can get any tone I want and the EQ's and gain structure are so versatile and interactive that now that I've learned the amp I can get any tone I want from bone-crushing crunch to spanky clean to classic Fender style overdrive with only a quick adjustment.
Fast forward to the last 3 weeks since I picked up the V3 micro: All I can say is wow! Anyone who has searched for the perfect amp knows its rare to fall in love with an amp like I did with the original V3L. And if you ever tried out a new amp on a gig, you know its always a little nerve-racking because you never know if its going to perform under the heat of battle. I tried the V3 micro on a recommendation from the guys at Carvin because I needed something easier to cart around for the club gigs than the V3 half stack. What happened??
To my amazement the V3 micro is just as incredible as the original V3! Same fantastic gain structure options, selectable EQ stacks and preamp options as the original, but with the smaller power amp I was able to turn up and get the amp to open up without bringing the roof down. The V3M has slightly different characteristics with its EL84 tube compliment, but the EQ's are so good I can still get all my favorite V3 tones, plus with the power amp working harder it really 'pops' in the mix and additionally gets some other flavors quite easily including the classic midrange saturated Boogie tones and is even more authentic for clean breakup sounds like Stevie Ray or the Stones! With the built-in reverb and a little TC chorus I didn't need my rack, and the whole rig easily fits in my trunk (including guitars) and can be set up and ready to play in about 45 seconds!
Nothing can beat the tone of my V3L for the high volume alternative metal gigs. But the micro is my new weapon of choice for those small venues around town that we play to keep our chops up. We're playing again tonight, and I can't wait to plug into this fantastic new amplifier!!!
Prepare yourself to discover world-class guitar tone and astonishing versatility with the most intuitive and easily optimized amplifier around.
To all my friends at Carvin USA- thanks for your incredible support and congratulations on creating a new iconic 3 channel amp which in my opinion puts all the others to shame without breaking a sweat! You guys rock!!!
I've also included a photo of some of my Carvin gear, this one is live in concert at 4th & B in San Diego with Skid Row, featuring my smoking hot CT324 and the V3L half stack."

"I was invited to purchase a V3M out of the Carvin showroom inventory and am thrilled I did. This amp is amazing and amazingly deceiving. The V3M has the clean headroom of a twin and the wooly shred of a brit. I already own many amps but am getting too old to haul combos, half stacks and racks. This little thing fits into my sports car and cranks in any playing setting. For the money, the best new equipment buy I ever made (and I've been at it for 35 years). I can't say enough about it except "Buy this amp! You will not be disappointed." No surprise that it won NAMM 2011. American made, headroom to the moon, versatile and portable. Well done."

"My entire experience purchasing the V3M amp exceeded my all my expectations. This micro amp blew me away, and does everything I could possibly want it to do!"
Ryan Maiden, NC
"I received my V3 Micro today and wow! I only played it for a couple hours but I can say once again Carvin has hit it out of the park! I just played the 7 watt setting but that is plenty of enough for what I will need for the most part (with 1 12" cab). It is everything that I ever wanted in an amp - great tone, versatility but easy to use, power output options, made in the USA, visual appeal, more great tone, and a price tag that my wallet can handle. Thanks again Carvin. When it comes to guitars and amps I will only buy from you."
David Crouch Antioch, CA
"Carvin has created a powerful and versatile guitar amplifier in a compact size. The V3MC is going to be a great addition to my guitar equipment arsenal. I am very impressed with the features and power of this model. I opted for the upgraded speaker package loading the amp with a Celestion Vintage 30 and it sounds amazing. Thanks Carvin!"

"Just wanted to thanks for making great products for such an unbelivable price. This little amp is unbelivable much better than any of the botique amps on the market. Beware this thing can get very loud, last band practice used it on the seven watt setting and I still had to keep my guitar volume rolled off a little to keep from drowning out everyone and I play with a very loud drummer. Very solidly built amp, the tone is very complex , very touch sensitive, and cuts through very well. Can't stop playing it , the line out is also very useable and sounds just like the cab running it through my board, overall just one spectacular little amp and cab."
"I recently scored a V3M & it's a sweet deal. American made tube amp with 3 switchable wattage choices, 3 channels with many tone options. What more could you want? Most other choices are imports with higher prices. If you want a nicely crafted domestic tube amp with a great number of control features, look no further, get your hands on one of these little gems. You'll be glad you did."

"I have owned and used this amp for a few monthes now. I am very pleased with this amp. Tone and versatilty are just what I need and this amp delivers. The multiple power setting are very usefull. The three channels and FX loop are great tools to have. The size and wieght are perfect for a small rig. But I cheat!!! I also use a Carvin Quad X in the FX loop. I also use a Carvin TS-100 power that I signal from the V3M, signal out and use the TSL to drive my 4x12 stacks. I use the speaker output from the V3M to drive two, 2x12 guitar monitor cabs in front of me, so I can get the ultimate response through the amp and my guitar. I use two Carvin 7 strings and 1 Carvin six string. All are special order Carvin customs, to my specs. I use a lot of Carvin gear. It's all great and very dependable."
Mark Levy Phoenix, AZ
"This time Carvin got it all right. This amp is so unbelievably awesome!! Soundwise the V3M keeps up with my Mesa Tremoverb, sounds better than my Marshall TSL, and burys my Laney VH100R. All this greatness is packed into a tiny 15" wide x 8" deep x 7" tall package. Much kudos to Carvin."
E. C. Charlotte, MI
"The V3M is a very nice amp. It is compact, versatile and has a great tone. I love this amp, great job Carvin, keep up the good work!"

"The V3M is simply awesome! It is the best amp I have EVER used!"
Jeff Haley Houston, TX
"I considered all amp heads 65 watts and under. This amp had all the features I was looking for and then some! I play in a variety rock band and needed an amp that is versatile. This amp has it all. I have the 2x12 cab. with vintage 30,s! My quest for the perfect tone is over. I love this head I never thought my pedal board would weigh more than my amp head!"
"Amazing amplifier! Does almost anything you want it to! Very versatile!! Best amp I've ever played and glad I own it!"

"Well.....Carvin REALLY surprised me on this one. I don't have much experience with Carvin products but I was really happy when I first heard my V3M. I've had it for 4 months now so I feel the honeymoon phase is over and I can leave a proper review. I've been playing 18 years now. I play a little of everything when jamming or playin alone, but I'm lead in a local classic metal band (Megadeth, Overkill, Pantera). It really does crank out many tones. I can pull.....I'd say any tone I need with this thing. I use a couple PRS's, some Ibanez, some Deans, and a few other odd balls here and there. I've had a few tube amps in my day. Some Marshall, some Peavey. Didn't care for either but couldn't pass up kickin deals. With the PRS's I can get the most tones. Funk, Blues, Metal, Country, Rock, Classic Rock, Jazz, nice clean tones for fingerstyle, some new metal.....everything except that real raunchy tone in the end lead to "Sympathy for the Devil" by the Rolling Stones. Oh well.
Most of the tones are achieved by the guitars volume, tone, and pickup switch while the amp is set at a "neutral" setting. I find this gives me the widest variety without having to go and adjust the amp. To pull some of the tones on the more extreme ends of the tonal spectrum I have to tweak the amps knobs or switches, but for the most part, the amp is really sensitive to guitar control adjustments.
I'm also using a pair of US made Vintage 30's with it. Its loud as all heck with just those two. I can surely gig anything with it. Also, the amps is capable of pushing a full stack so thats sweet.
Very interactive, touch sensitive. Has its own unique sound even though it pulls so many tones. Thats one thing I really dig. Nice to sound different than everyone else. If you like dynamics.....you'll love this amp. I forgot to mention actually, that I can even pull different tones just by my picking style, strength, or spot on the string where I pick. Its that dynamic! The features it has are amazing for such a small amp. Looking at the new Legacy 3 is even crazier!
The boost is awesome and the footswitch gives you everything you need for gigs. The reverb is Ok, plus, it'd be nice if you could turn it off or on for each channel. So that I could go from cleans with reverb to mega heavy with no reverb instantly. Not a big deal though to hurry and switch off the reverb.
Others have changed the tubes but I'm still with the Sovteks they ship with and really loving them. One thing to look out for when you get the amp is possible bad tubes. Tubes are delicate and can damage easily during shipping. I had a couple bad ones right off, but the amp went exactly from one end of the country to the other so its understandable. I know how "bad" tubes sound so it was a no brainer. Carvin shipped me some new ones ASAP and it was perfect then so.....great customer service too.
Thanks Carvin. I'll be hittin you up for an X100B next holiday season!"
"I had to write you to tell you how much I love my V3M Head. I own the 100w V3 amp & have been in love with it ever since I purchased it. Since I bought a THD Uni Valve 10 yrs ago, I have been fascinated by small wattage heads. I left many suggestion on your forums for a low wattage high gain amp. My requests were answered. Carvin listens to it's customers. I finally saved up to purchase the V3M W/footswitch. It's hard to compare it to the 100w version. It has it's own tone really. It sounds a lot like it's big brother. I run it into a Mesa 3/4 open back 2x12 cab on the bottom with a Legacy I 2x12 on top. These 2 cabs together are magic. The Legacy cabs are so well made & reasonably priced. In 7w mode it drives these cabs perfectly. Plenty of volume and bass. Like the 100w version, there's 3 modes on each channel for a plethora of tones. The clean channel (3) with the soak on is a dream to play. Use the boost control & the SRV tones come through loud and clear. Channels 1 & 2 are a high gain players dream. With the gain 1/2 way up, it's absolutely crushing in either the Intense or Thick modes. Leave the mode switch in the center decrease the gain, and raise the channel volume & there's great 70's rock tones. I have all my modulation & delays in the effects loop. They sound great there, very quiet as well. In 50w mode you can gig anywhere, loads of clean headroom. I can't think of an amp for $599.00 that has all these features & sounds so good. Thank You Carvin!"

"I don't know why I paid $2200 for a Mesa, when my perfect amp (V3M head) was in your catalog! It's only been not even 24hrs, and this amp makes me WANNA play!!! Carvin is SOOOOOO underated! Keep it up for all of us in the know! Believe me, I'll be spreading the word about Carvin products!
